True Love Story

Such love I have never seen. What kind of love is this?

It is so hard for one to fathom that while we were yet sinners and had totally lost the glory of God, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, who committed no sin, stepped in our place and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice.

He died on the cross to fully pay the price for our sins. To give us another opportunity to be reconciled back to the Father by confessing our sins and accepting Him as our Lord and personal Saviour.

All we need is this true love – the love shown us by God through His only begotten Son.

Trusting God (Episode 3)

Trusting God Is Your Protection

Lawrence K. Anku writes:

Psalm 91:1-8  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Protection is a means of keeping or remaining safe in the Lord. When you trust in the Lord, you abide in Him and He in you. It’s is a state of being in His protective presence.

The one who trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ lives close to Him — meaning abiding in His presence. Nobody can get closer and dwell safely with Him without having a personal relationship and fellowship with Him. Your protection from God is dependent on your relationship with Him, even though He always protects us. Let’s think quickly about this: assuming you don’t have intimate relationship with your father, how can you then trust in him protecting you?

The presence of God is a ‘secret place’ or a ‘shadow’. In His, presence, you take refuge and the protection of the Holy Spirit is assured. The devil and his agents have no business with those who trust in the Lord and find themselves in the secret place (His presence) and dwell under His shadow (His covering or shield). Thus, His presence is not the jurisdiction or territory of Satan and his agents. So you’re as secure as God’s embodiment.

Brethren, let’s appreciate the risen King Jesus Christ for giving us refuge. Trust in Him because He is your strength and redeemer. He promises to protect you in all your ways; watch over your coming in and going out, guiding you away from harmful situations in this perilous times.

You must entrust your ways to Him and be fully convinced that He is able to protect you today and everyday of your life. When your heart is burdened and the world seems dark all around you, remember the Lord your God is your shield, deliverer and your rock. He is your foundation, cornerstone and stronghold. Any other foundation and stronghold is a counterfeit.

As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is shield to all who trust in Him – 2 Samuel 22:31.

No matter the unfavorable circumstances you may find yourself, be bold and have confidence of your faith in God and declare your absolute trust in Our LORD Jesus Christ.

Trusting God (Episode 2)

Trust God In Your Situations – Psalm 56:3-13
Lawrence K. Anku writes:

Trusting God is to focus on His sovereignty. Relying or depending on God evaporates the in dwelling of your circumstances in life.

Your trust is a person – meaning when you trust someone, that person has become your hope. Understand that your hope, which you wait for is Jesus Christ. As humans made in the image and likeness of God, our trust is Jesus Christ. So, you can not put your hope (trust) in a man. You have to trust God in order for Him to compel men to favour you for whatever you’re believing the Lord to do in your life.

Trusting God in your situations or trials of life is abiding in His confidence, even in times of distress. A time of praising the Lord Jesus when faced with hardship, tribulations and name calling. People will lie against you and use deceitful speech against your integrity, reputation and image. All you have to do is to rely on the Most High God for vindication, knowing that vengeance is His.

Brethren be confident and know that God has interest in every pain and tears of yours. Why? Because He’s always with you. Therefore, subject your determination to praise the Lord your God knowing that He has already delivered your soul from all foolish things – tribulations.

Placing your trust in men has to do with dealing with other voices – putting yourself under their law of assurance. Those who trust the Lord, fear the Lord, meditate on His eternal Word, think highly of His sovereignty and ponder on His significance as relation to their lives in perilous times.

God will not ignore you who is faithful and trust Him. He promise that He will open a book of remembrance about you in due time and season.
Brethren, understand that in every circumstance, God is with you and He will use your tests and trials to restore you to your desired position, to enlighten you with the light of life – meaningful life in Him (Job 33:30).

Mediation: Lord, Holy Spirit help, empower and strength me to trust Jesus in all my situations.

Trusting God (Episode 1)

Psalm 143:6-12

Trusting the Lord your God is to have faith in Him – meaning, relying or depending on His Love, Relationship, Fellowship, Ability, Power and Mercy. Trust in God expresses your belief and total dependency in Him which pleases Him.

Brethren, remember the days of old – rejoicing, worshipping the Lord your God in your closest and His temple whiles meditating on His good works knowing that He is able to do what He promises.

Know that without a renewed sense of God’s presence through the relationship and fellowship of the Holy Spirit, you are as good as a dead being. You have to spread your hands to Him, praying to Him everyday of your life. In praying to the Lord Jesus, you’re fellowshiping with Him and the answer of the in-depth relationship will come with morning light.

When we pray in Jesus’ name, we trust and fellowship in the authority of His name and in His character.

Trust Him with all your being, knowing that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. In His mercy, He will cut off your enemies and destroy all those who afflict your soul.

Keep Your Dreams Alive

There is hope for those who believe in the future but most importantly for those who believe in their dreams and in themselves. If you are encouraged by people and you still don’t believe in yourself, your innate abilities will never come alive.

I have come to understand that in life, to keep your dreams alive, ninety percent of the work depends on you. It’s your duty call so do it with joy.

Be inspired today by my quotes in order to keep your dreams alive.

  • Your dreams must make you stay awake at night and working towards it.
  • There is power in doing than dreaming.
  • Start with little or no support, with time it will follow.
  • Never make a mistake of burying your dreams. It’s the saddest thing to do.
  • Some friends will try to kill your dreams along the way, it is proof you are doing things right. Press on!
  • Never give up on your dreams. Let hope and passion fuel it.
  • If you don’t fulfill your dreams, you will kill other people’s dream too.
  • Be positive about your dreams. Trust me, you need it most.
  • Dreams are meant to be fulfilled so keep working at it.

I encourage you not give up on your dreams for it will surely materialize.

Lost Opportunity

This dawn as I hurriedly ran to the washroom to pee, it began to rain heavily. I was afraid to go back to sleep because anytime it rains, ECG (Electricity Company of Ghana) always becomes an accomplice to the heavy downpour.

It had been announced since Friday that there would be power outage on Sunday 23rd October, 2016 from morning till evening. I took the risk to go back to sleep since my eyes were still heavy. I had no backup plan in terms of what to wear to church since I had not ironed any shirt.

To my surprise, the power was on when I woke up and hastily ironed my attire and prepared for church.

As I began to walk from my residence, I beckoned a private car to give me a drive to the junction (about four minutes drive) to continue my journey.

Needful to say, the driver was very friendly and began to converse with me. He came to visit his senior brother and was finding a hard time to exit my neighborhood but I gladly helped him to manoeuvre his way out.

He recounted years back when a plot of land cost 12 Ghana Cedis whilst a bag of cement was 80 pesewas. Now, that same plot of land in the neighborhood cost between GHS25,000 to GHS40,000.

“I never bought a land here then because the place was too bushy, no roads, no electricity, no water. Infact, it looked like a jungle. When friends informed me of buying a land here, I discouraged them and told them to look elsewhere” he said.

This man became a source of discouragement in the life of his friends and diverted opportunities of them owning lands. If his friends had not listened to his advice, I believe they would be making good money from the sale of the land.

This indeed is a lost opportunity and the hand of time cannot be reversed to undo this blunder. Below are some lessons I learnt from his story:

  1. Anytime opportunities come your way, seek the face of God to know His Will before you act.
  2. Never heed to negative advice from your peers because you will regret it in the future.
  3. Some opportunities may come in a bad state and it’s up to you to make it good.
  4. Tomorrow is never promised so don’t take the opportunities that comes your way lightly.
  5. Don’t be afraid to start little. Remember little drops of water make a mighty ocean.
  6. Someone will take the opportunity you always miss.

Concluding, promise yourself when positive opportunities come knocking on your door, you would gladly take advantage of it.
